Give yourself a week or so to learn a new tool.  Don't buy it and quickly try to figure it out in an evening.  Take your time to real ALL the materials, instructions or tutorials.  If you get too anxious, you may never really learn the tool and quickly become discouraged with it. 

Set aside whatever it takes to fully comprehend how to use a tool and what it can do for you.  If you don't, you've wasted your money and whatever service the tool can provide for you.

Make sure the internet marketing tool or product provides email or phone support.   Good customer support is essential when using tools online.  Be weary of any product that does not promote the ability to get help or support.  Try sending an email or calling support before you buy and evaluate the response you get.
