The truth about finding internet home business ideas and opportunities that you can actually make money at.

There are more ways to make money online than you could imagine, however jumping on board with just any business that looks easy and promises fast money isn't always the best option

...and it could send you to the poor house.

The best method for finding profitable internet business ideas is to start with your talents, passions and knowledge. 

• What do you know?  
• What are you good at?  
• What do you like?  

You've probably heard that a million times before but the fact is, once you can determine what you are good at or what you like, then you can begin to think about how you can monetize your ideas with an internet business model that fits your personality and lifestyle.

Turnkey businesses or MLM (multi-level Marketing) schemes are opportunities that are hard to be successful at and they are often designed for making the developers rich, not you, at least that's been my experience, so I don't recommend them. 

Instead, here are my recommendations...

Think about what you love to do, your passions, hobbies or favorite sports.  What events have occurred in your life that you have helped others with? What things do people come to you for because you are a good resource of knowledge? 

Once you have an idea of what your interests, knowledge or passions are, then figure out how to find a niche in the market.  

Once you find a profitable niche with manageable competition, your next step will be choosing an internet business model which is how you will actually make money with your niche.   

Some Business Models Are Easier than Others

While some internet business models are easier than others, all of them take some effort and dedication.  

Never believe the hype that says you can make thousands of dollars in just a few days or even sooner with little to no effort.

Having said that, these are the internet home business models that are the most successful when it comes to actually make money online, but I also think they are the easiest to set up and promote. 

 Affiliate Marketing

The affiliate marketing business model involves promoting other people's products or services for a commission of the sale.

The beauty of affiliate marketing is that you don't need a product of your own. It involves creating a niche focused website and promoting other people's products that complement that niche.

Personally I think affiliate marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online.  But don't be fooled by that, while affiliate marketing may be easy to learn and do, you must know how to implement the methods and strategies that will allow you to make the most money.

 Freelance Copywriter

With all the websites and web businesses popping up all over the web every day, there's huge opportunity in the freelance copywriting industry. Businesses need copywriters.

This is something you can do at home on your own schedule. It doesn't require special skills outside of learning the basics of copywriting and the strategies for writing compelling copy.

There are copywriters that have learned the strategies for writing salesletters that make 6 to 7 figures a year.

You may not make that starting out of the gate, but with the proper training, many successful copywriters have done it in about a year or two.

 Data Entry Online Jobs

You don't have to sell or promote products to make money online.

If you have a computer and/or computer skills, there are plenty of data entry online jobs that could use your help.

In fact, if you are one of those folks that needs money now, you can begin doing data entry online jobs from your home which is a great way to get started bringing in additional income. 

 Information Marketing

This is one of my favorites, simply because it's also a way that I make money on the web. 

Information marketing is about creating and publishing valuable information that people can use and will pay money for.

Publishing information can be done through blogging, creating ebooks or article writing.  Any one of these things can be a lucrative way to generate income. 

The internet is ideal for selling both tangible and digital products, however it's no secret that information products sell extremely well on the internet, products such as 'how to' e-books, guides and courses are in very high demand.

For example, learning how to write an ebook you can profit from is an awesome way to generate income, you do it once and collect income on the product for years to come.

Creating an information blog is another opportunity that can be monetized by promoting affiliate products or services related to a blog's topic or through advertising.

Creating a blog is hard or expensive, in fact you can actually start a blog for free.  Once you've created your blog, use these lessons that I've learned to start blogging for money.  

 Resale Rights

Many digital products such as e-books, courses and guides offer resale rights which means that you can buy the product and the resale rights to the product then resell it yourself for full profit. 

A good resale rights package gives you everything you need, the product, the sales letter and instructions on how to set up your clickbank account, etc.  They make the sales process very simple. 

 Wholesale Dropshipping

With wholesale dropshipping you buy wholesale and sell retail.  You start by finding the products you wish to sell at wholesale prices and create a website to sell them at retail prices. 

When a customer makes a purchase from your website, you buy the products from the wholesaler and then direct them on where to send the products.  

Next  your wholesale supplier will dropship the goods for you. In other words you don't have worry about keeping inventory and shipping the goods yourself, the dropshipper does that for you.

Dropshipping is popular with Internet retailers and eBay merchants because they don't have to deal with the challenges of storing product.

You also won't have to deal with packaging and mailing your products, the wholesale dropshipping company does all of that for you.

Your biggest job will be finding wholesale drop shippers that you can trust and work with.   

 Selling on eBay

Selling on eBay is a great way to build a storefront, test a new product or make quick money from things you have laying around the house.

The beauty of eBay is that you can easily create an e-commerce store without having to go through the trouble and expense of setting the site up yourself.  All the technical stuff is done for you through eBay stores.  

That's not to say there won't be some planning and setup considerations on your part but eBay has designed the process to be easy and with the amount of traffic and sales eBay makes a day you'll be on a platform that has success on your side.
