One instant traffic generation method that works well for me is blog commenting.

Unfortunately, the downside to blog commenting is that it’s boring and tedious trying to find related authority blog posts to comment on.

So let me share a really easy way I use to find relevant, authority blog posts that I can comment on every day without the stress of having to find these targeted, authority blogs on my own.

I use Google alerts to find blog posts to comment on.  But for me, my success with Google alerts may be how I set them up, which I’ll get to in a minute.  But the real advantage to getting these alerts is that Google notifies me immediately every time a new blog post related to my keywords gets published.  That saves me a ton of time; which is my goal.

Secondly, if you comment right away on a newly published blog post, your comments have a better chance of being seen as they’ll be near the top of the comments list. For blogs that get lots of comments, being at the top is a good thing.

Since implementing  this strategy myself I’ve seen a substantial increase of visitors to my blog which is instant traffic generation at its best.

Setting up Google Alerts is super simple.  You’ll need to create a Google account which is easy and free, then just go to Google.com/alerts.  The screen will look like this.

Just enter your keyword phrase. These will be the main keywords of the posts you’re interested in commenting on.

I choose once a day to be alerted of posts, with this option I’ll get several alerts each day that I can comment on.  Over the course of even a few days I can get several blog comments created.  This works to my benefit for backlinks as well as getting my comments seen.

I also choose the option ‘only the best results’.  This returns the most authoritative blogs, which is what I want since finding these blogs is the hardest part of blog commenting.

Now click ‘create alert’ and that’s it.  You’ll almost instantly start receiving blog posts alerts in your email.

You can do this for as many keyword phrases as you like. You might try creating several keyword alerts just to make sure you get a good amount of posts to comment on.

Making your blog comments count for Instant Traffic Generation

You’ve heart this before but it’s worth repeating. Keep your blog comments informative, interesting, and related to the post you’re commenting on. The more value a reader gets from reading your comment the better your chances of getting them to visit your site.

Remember, comments can bring you quality back links but they are also a great source of human traffic as well.   The idea is to impress readers so they want to visit your site.

Once you start getting your Google alerts in your email, take a few minutes each the day to start commenting.  I like to do this first thing in the morning, that’s when I do my best work, but doing this at the end of the day is OK too.   Do whatever works for you, but schedule in a few minutes each day to get this done.

The beauty of Google alerts is that the notifications come to your email, so they’re there ready for you to comment on. That makes this strategy a lot easier and it’s a great reminder each day as well.

#1 Social media. If you use social media sites, and you should, you stand to generate lot of traffic to your website quickly. The trick here is to create attention grabbing posts that create curiosity.  Then include content that will make people laugh or even stir up a little controversy. #2 Article marketing.  We hear a lot about submitting articles to article sites. You may be tired of hearing that but they are a powerful way to get website traffic fast. There are however, only 3 things that will make articles work for driving the most traffic; a catchy title, meaty content and a compelling resource box.

We all know that these are important elements for writing effective articles but for me personally, I never really knew how to get them right until I reviewed Jason Potash's article announcer, once I really understood how to craft titles that would peak interest and write resource boxes that would compel clicks, my traffic began to take off like a rocket. Before then I could spend hours submitting just tons of articles that went nowhere. 

In other words it's not enough to just crank out mediocre articles and include your site link in the resource box, it certainly helps to do that, but if you want to get even more traffic fast, you must have an article title that compels, a body that delivers what readers want to read and a resource box that gets the click.

#3 Video content. You'd be amazed at how quickly a video can go viral. Because videos are so easy to watch they often grab more attention than printed content, and if your video can once again, stir up controversy, entertain and offer value, you've got a winner.

You'll also be glad to know that videos are often forwarded to friends and downloaded on laptops and mobile devices. A good video is an excellent resource for generating a tremendous amount of traffic to your site. 

#4 Business Partnerships. Always try to partner with a compatible, relevant businesses.  The key here is to come up with a mutually beneficial agreement. For example, seek out people in your industry that are willing to work with you and then help each other drive traffic.

A partnership may include guest blogging on each other’s sites, swapping advertisements or even promoting each other's ezines.

#5 Blogging.  If you went to the trouble to create a blog, post regularly. Post on your own blog first then check around for blogs that you can guest blog on. In fact guest posting is ideal for getting website traffic fast, especially if you can hook up with high traffic blogs.  Nicole Dean, one of my favorite and talented internet marketers, increased her traffic rates, her opt-in rates and sales just by guest blogging. She actually became a guest blogging rock star.

Just like social networking, if you provide informative, controversial or entertaining posts on high traffic blogs as well as other social media sites, you’ll have people clicking through to your website in droves.

There are lots of ways to increase website traffic, there are tons of traffic secrets and free website traffic strategies that anyone can use, things like using articles, email marketing, website optimization, press releases, social interaction.   

The problem with getting increased website traffic is there are more options than we can implement so as with anything online the name of the game is to test. Try as many strategies as you can and determine which ones work the best for you.  Use it until it no longer works, and then try something else.

But what if someone just starting out were to ask you what the best way was to get more targeted website traffic to their site when they are getting no traffic at all — what would you say?

I know this would probably depend on your application and perhaps the type of person you are. For example, if you are great in front of a camera you probably use video, if you are sort of a social butterfly you probably use social marketing and get great response.  Articles might do the trick if you’re a writer.  If you have a budget you might say that pay-per-click advertising worked well.   But on the other hand, maybe you’ve tried just about every website traffic generation method you could think of and still haven’t seen the kind of traffic you need.
