How To Easily Create a Comments Avatar

Did you know that you can easily create a comments avatar or Gravatar that will appear beside your name when you comment on blogs around the net?

I’ve been putting this off because I thought it might be complicated to do.  Wrong!  It’s super easy and I found out how easy it was by asking my good friend Revka over at Berries & Cream Blog Design.

Revka gave me a simple and free way to do this myself and it took me less than a minute.  Now my picture shows up in all the comments I make around the web, including my own blog 

Here’s how to do it…

Go to www.gravatar.com and simply click on ‘Get your Gravatar Today‘.  It’s free, there are no strings and it’s safe.

Enter your email address and you will get an email confirmation link. When you confirm the link you will be brought to a new screen where you set up a user name and password.

Next you’ll be asked to ‘Manage Your Gravatars‘  This is where you will enter an email and add your image.

Note: Your avatar image is directly connected to the email you enter here, so enter the email address you will be using when making blog comments.

Next, upload your image.  It doesn’t matter what size image you add, gravatar.com will adjust the size for you.  Super easy.  You can add as many emails and images as you like.
