Are your affiliate commissions looking a little dismal? — Don’t despair.
You can actually boost your affiliate marketing commissions by making just a few simple adjustments.
In fact making just one or two of these adjustments could make a significant difference in the amount of your affiliate paychecks.
You owe it to yourself to give them a try.
1. Boost Your Affiliate Marketing Commissions by Delivering Better Content
Loading your site down with just any content isn’t going to help you or your visitor.
People who come to your site want to be impressed meaning you’re going to have to deliver quality content.
Readers want to know that you are on top of your game, that you are current and have the latest factual information and that you can tell them something they don’t already know.
They also want to know that you are a real person whose goals are to serve your viewer …that brings me to #2.
2. Communicate on a Personal Level Yet Speak with Authority
Speak on a one to one level with your readers. Understand your readers, their emotions and what makes them happy or what disappoints them.
Once you know those emotions, likes and dislikes, to through the emotions with your readers in your copy. A reader that can see that you know how they feel will themselves be able to connect with you better.
Also speak with authority like you know what you’re talking about when it comes to having a solution to their problems, needs or wants.
If you know how your audience feels and what kinds of things they are looking for, you’ll position yourself so much better for delivering to them the things they need need and want.
3. Get to know your Affiliate Managers
I can’t stress this enough. This is a strategy that often distinguishes regular affiliates from Super affiliates.
Your affiliate manager is there to help you so allow them to do that by getting to know them.
Ask questions about the products you are promoting and if there are any tips or suggestions they can offer you.
Then listen to your manager carefully and pick up on product details, ideas and information. You’ll be surprised how effective this can be.
Also the timeliness of the response you get or the lack of it is also a good indicator of whether or not this is an affiliate program you want to be associated with.
4. Create Product Reviews that Help Readers Make the Buying Decision
Affiliate Marketing is about helping your readers make the buying decision. That means giving them concrete sound reasons to buy.
To do that I highly recommend purchasing and using the products you’re promoting. Then write a personal product review about your likes, dislikes and experiences. This gives your reader a good sense of how the product performs.
It also helps to mention what your expectations were before purchasing the product or service and then describing in detail if your expectations were met or not.
When you write a product review, emphasize benefits not features. Features should really be left for the merchants sales page, a good sales page is what actually makes the sale, your job is to simply to convince the reader to click.
5. Boost Affiliate Marketing Commission with a list of subscribers
Have you heard the money is in the list? You’ve heard that because it’s true. Email marketing is still one of the best forms of sales communication. You don’t have to have a huge email list, just an interested one.
Start by placing a sign-up or opt-in form on your website and request sign-ups for your newsletter, daily tips for email course or whatever you choose to offer.
To encourage sign-ups, offer an incentive such as a free e-book or ‘how to’ course in exchange for their email address.
Email marketing and building an opt-in mailing list is a powerful online marketing strategy because it builds relationships and trust for your business. That’s a powerful strategy for boosting affiliate commissions.
6. Boost Commission By Asking for a Raise
If you’re making steady affiliate sales for a merchant it can’t hurt to ask for an increase in your affiliate commissions.
If your a money maker for them they’ll often times be happy to increase commissions, after all that’s even more incentive for you. This is a partnership and your in it together so sharing the wealth makes good business sense for everyone.
7. Review the Affiliate Sales Page
This would be a good time to re-visit the affiliate sales page.
Be objective and ask yourself if you would buy their product based on the sales page? Just how compelling is it?
Never promote products that have third party ads on their sales page, you’ll be sending them visitors that could possibly click on their ads … they make money and you get nothing.
8. Hiding Your Affiliate Links Reduces Lost Commissions
Using your affiliate link as it’s given to you by your affiliate manager isn’t the best way to display your affiliate link, it can make it easy for buyers to avoid using your link.
Some individuals can detect an affiliate link and will bypass it by going directly the product site. In order to guard against this find out how to hide your affiliate links by creating redirects through your web host or use an affiliate link cloaker. It will protect your affiliate links as well as disguise the look of the long ugly links.
My Best,

thank you for sharing this strategies and tips this could be very useful for us.
Sound advice… I messed up using lots of different methods until this year I got a squeeze page and started to build a list. As you say – getting the mix of content and selling done isn’t as easy as all that but it’s just a case of trial and error…. and seeing the job through to the end!
