The amount of traffic you get to your website is your key to making sales. To put it in simple terms, the more traffic, the more sales. But your traffic also has to be targeted meaning the visitors you get must be interested in what you have.
There's no magic formula for getting tons of traffic but there are some simple yet fast solutions for driving traffic to your web site that anyone can do. I suggest experimenting with them all, one at a time that is. When you find out what works for you, work it
#1 Social media. Social media works quickly and if you have a large following on any of the social media sites, you can generate a ton of traffic to your website quickly.
The key is to create attention grabbing posts that arouse curiosity, make people laugh or stir up a controversy. This is how you get clicks to your website.
Start using the social marketing technology. For example, one StumbleUpon post can be integrated with both Facebook and Twitter profiles so you’re weaving yourself through on all three social sites at once.
#2 Blogging. Post to your own blog or be a guest blogger on a blog with a large number of subscribers. If you want to know how many subscribers a blog has here's a blogfeeder counter that will tell you
Like social networking, if you offer an informative, controversial or entertaining post, you’ll have plenty of people clicking through to your website. For example if you promote this blog post via social media, you could boost your traffic results
#3 – Article marketing. Article marketing is still a powerful way to generate traffic, but it's important to concentrate your efforts on quality article marketing sites with large audiences such as with ezinearticles.com or articlesbase.com One well written and informative article, rewritten a few times, and submitted to a handful of high traffic directories can generate the traffic you’re looking for.
My suggestion is to write one 600-700 word article and rewrite it about 3-4 different ways. Submit each article to a different article site. Be sure to include a resource box for each article that uses a keyword text link and demonstrates a call to action. Use a different keyword text link for each article's resource box. Too many articles submitted with the same text link can raise a red flag with the search engines, so it's a good idea to use 2 or 3 different, but related, keyword phrases.
#4 Video content. People love video. In fact people prefer it to reading, after all, don't you? In fact you can take an article that you have written and turn it into a video as well. Because video is often viral it's an ideal way to generate lots of traffic. They are often forwarded to friends and downloaded on laptops and mobile devices around the world.
To make sure your video goes viral, create videos that are fun to watch, stir up a bit of controversy or offer tremendous value. Make it fun not only for yourself but for your reader. That's how it will get the attention it needs.
Next, integrate a bit of social media to promote your video, for instance blog about it, include it on Facebook and Twitter about it. Then sit back and watch your traffic results rise.
#5 Partnerships. Partner with a relevant or compatible business. Find others that are willing to work with you and help each other drive traffic. The key to successful partnerships is to come up with something that will benefit you both. A partnership may include guest blogging on each others sites, swapping articles and advertisements or even promoting one another in your ezine or your blog.
The best way to drive traffic is pick one thing, develop a plan to implement it and then just do it. Once completed go with the next option and do that in the same way.
To Your Success.

The article speaks mainly on how to use distribution channels to increase awareness, but the real key is to create valuable, unique and useful content that people will want to revisit, link to and share. It all starts there; Content is still king! Regards, John Moss

The very first thing that we want to do after applying SEO to our site is to register to all the social networking sites. It’s the best free service that we can give our business, and we get loads of traffic from it by doing little effort. By making use of Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Linkedin etc, we expand our networks by immeasurable numbers. Also by consistently doing these methods we increase our chances of getting viewed by new people.
