I just returned home from NAMS live event and workshop in Atlanta, actually the event ended August 22, but we extended our trip to visit family in Virginia.

After taking care of a few ‘to do’ things on my list today I’ve finally had a few minutes to download my photos and go over my notes from the workshop.

And what a workshop it was. I attended 6 lectures altogether and listened to some awe inspiring talks from people like David Perdew, Kathleen Gage and Terry Dean.

I even had a chance to mingle with a few friends from Lynn Terry’s Clicknewz elite group which I’m also a member of and highly recommend. Getting to meet people I talk and brainstorm with online is always a good time

But something that really got me excited about the NAMS workshop was having my husband Jeff attend with me. Jeff does not have his own internet business and never really had much of an interest – until he went to the NAMS event.

Jeff didn’t have much in the way of expectations but I guided him on workshops to attend and to my delight, he had a really great time. In fact, he actually got an idea for a blog, purchased a domain name, found a hosting service and created his blog, all in just a few hours.

I love that because he’s a perfect example of how easy and quick it is to get a blog set up. If you still haven’t created your blog yet, Jeff is living proof that anyone can do this.

Now you may have not been able to attend NAMS to get your blog set up but you can download my free guide and get the same instruction right here:

The real exciting thing for me is that Jeff and I can work on our online businesses together. Gotta love that!

This was my first experience attending the NAMS workshop and I was definitely impressed with how well organized and structured the event was.

Each of the instructors gave superb presentations and shared so many of their personal tips and ideas. For instance, Nicole Dean was one of my favorite speakers, Nicole offered just tons of excellent tidbits for getting more traffic. Things you don’t read about in those stuffy, hard to figure out traffic guides These were clever ideas that anyone can do.

All the training is presented in such a way that you can apply what you learn right in the workshop. Personally I learn by doing, so for me the workshop format is perfect.

I’ll be honest, I’m not one to venture out of my comfort zone, and if that’s something that you can relate to, I know how you feel, but one of the great things about a workshop like this is that it helps you connect with others. It’s like putting your social media efforts in high gear.

The next NAMS event is Feb 10-12, 2012 in Atlanta and I was informed that the cost of the event will be $497, yes, the price went up. The event is popular so that doesn’t surprise me …BUT if you become a NAMS member you can cash in on significant discount rates for the next upcoming live events.

You can become a NAMS member right now for $9.70 a month and get access to things like free webinars, expert interviews, member website reviews, Q&A calls, access to mastermind groups and so much more. Just use the coupon code: mynams90. Typically the cost for this membership is $97 a month, so this is a huge 90% savings.

I’m looking forward to the next live NAMS event and workshop, and believe it or not, so is Jeff. Even though we have different experience levels, Jeff being the beginner and I’m in more advanced groups, NAMS has something for everyone. The ideas, strategies and advice you’ll get from NAMS is phenomenal.

I also know that there will be some new speakers invited in Feb, 2012, I won’t give that away but I’m even more excited to get a chance to meet and hear these speakers.

If you’re at all interested in attending NAMS, I’d love to meet you there. I can assure you it will be an awesome time. So get out of that chair and let’s hook up in February. It will be an awesome start to the New Year and I’m looking forward to it - and to meeting you

I’ve been wanting to attend for several years now but my plans never worked in my favor.

So this year I’m attending, and I’m super excited

What is NAMS?

NAMS is an affiliate marketing workshop structured for anyone that wants to be a better affiliate marketer.

Two dozen of the top Internet Marketers will be teaching the actual nuts and bolts of affiliate marketing – this is not theory! This is a teaching workshop where students implement what they learn on the spot by following the leadership of super affiliate instructors who have been through the internet marketing trials before you.

The instruction is followed by small group hands-on implementation. The small groups are focused by niche so that those in your group also become joint venture partners. Very Cool!

What’s even better is that because this is a workshop where you’re learning by doing, most of the students will have made money during the weekend event in their chosen niche. That’s the goal!

You will self-select which experience level to enroll in. There are four:

* Beginner 1 – starting from scratch

* Beginner 2 – maybe you’ve got a blog already, but not making money

* Intermediate – making money, but not enough

* Advanced – making plenty of money, but want more time and a sustainable business

Because of this type of training you should bring a computer and be ready to roll up your sleeves.

But it doesn’t matter what your experience level is, this workshop is created specifically to help build a successful business, period. That’s an important reason why I personally I attend internet marketing seminars and workshops and it should be for you as well.

What Does NAMS Cost?

The NAMS 4 day workshop is at a special promotion of $397, but on May 31st 2011, this promotion ends and the price of the NAMS workshop goes up $100 to $497.

There’s also currently a 3-payment plan that will allow attendees to pay only $99 for the next three months,
however that disappears May 31, 2011 as well.

So if you’re thinking about attending it’s time to get on board. I know you won’t be disappointed and I’d absolutely would love to meet you there

Here’s where to find out more information on NAMS http://www.homenotion.com/nams

In my opinion, there’s nothing more personally invigorating or as powerfully educating than getting out of your office, meeting people and making lasting business relationships.

In my experience it’s one of the best ways for improving the success of your business because you are improving relationships, making connections and working up joint ventures.

…and as for the money, yes it’s worth it.

I like to think of it this way… Having an internet business and working at home isn’t like being in the corporate world where you are surrounded by employees, meetings and social gatherings.

Working in front of your home computer can be a solitary existence. Your contacts are often confined to your emails, an occasional phone call, the kids or a cup of coffee with the cat.

Don’t get me wrong, this is what I do and I LOVE working at home, but let’s face it, my business relationships are limited.

Your internet business, or any business for that matter, is nothing without continuous education, networking and the relationships you make. They all go hand in hand and one cannot exist without the other.

But even more important than that is you need people to know about YOU, what you do and how a relationship with you might benefit them.

A face to face meeting, a handshake and getting to know someone on a personal level goes a long way for providing lasting impressions, but you are also building the ground work for creating even more relationships as a result of the positive recommendations people will make about you.

Internet Marketing Seminars Aren’t About Selling

People sometimes think of seminars as a gathering for pushy salesman. Sure, you’ll always run into the hot shot salesman trying to sell you anything and everything but the truth is, people attend internet marketing seminars to expand their reach, network and learn a few things.

Seminars are your best chance to look at the broader scope of your business helping you build a stronger foundation.

When meeting someone for the first time put the focus on that person. Find out what they do and then tell them about yourself, what you do and how you might be able to help them. Remember, you’re there to build a business relationship …not secure a sale in 60 seconds.

Seminars are ideal for gathering new ideas, finding easier ways to do business and reaching new business heights. I always find myself with a boost of new energy and feel a better sense of connection with the world I do business in.

When you get home you’ll have so many ideas that you won’t know what to do first. It’s like putting your motivation on steroids.

What to do when attending internet marketing seminars

1. Get out of your room and mingle

Don’t go back to your room and watch TV or waste away an evening. Find people to hang with. Don’t be afraid to ask questions and get to know them, but more importantly let them get to know you. Before you leave, get names and email addresses. When you get home, drop a few emails to those that stand out in your mind and tell them how much you enjoyed meeting them.

2. Shake the hands of the experts and product developers that you recognize and admire.

Meeting the people that have helped mentor you along the way is a great privilege. Help them remember you. You will almost always find people that will be interested in partnering with you on projects. That’s a huge! So get in on that.

Getting to know the “who’s who” in your industry gives you a real foothold on where you should be going and how you’re going to get there.

3. If you go with a friend, spouse or business partner, mingle separately.

Going with someone can give moral support but step out of your comfort zone and reach out to as many people as you can.

4. Enjoy the seminar – Don’t be too serious.

Keep your head out of your notebook and stop taking notes. Write down the highlights but don’t miss the forest for the trees. Observe people and their interests and listen carefully understanding what the main point a speaker is trying to make.

I can’t tell you how many ideas, tricks and powerful nuggets of information I’ve gotten this way.

I like to strike up conversations by asking questions. It will get people talking and at the same time it solves your problem of what to say. The more people that walk away from the seminar remembering you as a credible, capable professional and someone that they think of as a mutually beneficial partner, the better – actually it’s priceless.

It can be tough to break away and attend a seminar; after all I don’t have someone paying my way any longer, it’s on my tab now, however you can’t let that stop you. Once you attend a seminar or a workshop, you’ll not only want to go every year, you’ll look forward to it because your education, business networks and relationships will benefit tenfold.

It’s an investment that continues to give for many months to come.

I believe that's because the quality of the course is outstanding. People just flat out love it and with good reason. When I spoke with the product manager, Stu McLaren this morning, he told me that those applying what they have learned from the course are already seeing some profitable marketing results.

You can find out more about Internet Marketing Explained here, you can also read my full review.

…but what I really wanted to let you know today is that anyone purchasing the course before March 7, 2008 will be receiving a free recording of a 3-day seminar that Armand is conducting March 7, 8 and 9th. This is an exclusive seminar with Armand only, no one else. Anyone ordering after March 7 the recordings will not be included in the package, this is the only time you'll be able to get access to this event.

If you are familiar with Armand Morin at all, you will know Armand gives up the goods for his customers. I highly recommend all his training, plus getting these free recordings is a huge bonus that doesn't often get thrown in for free.
