Email Branding Strategies for Emails That Stand Out

If you use email as a marketing strategy, you're emails are probably getting read by only a fraction of those on your list and that can be a pretty dismal statistic.
 
One of the best things you can do to get your email messages read is to “brand” your mailings so they stand out from other messages that arrive in your subscribers’ inboxes.  All it really takes is developing a consistent 'From' identification and a 1-2 word 'Subject' tagline that is included in every mailing you send to your list.  This identifies your messages as being from YOU.

Survey Your Readers for Feedback

It can’t be said enough that one of the best ways to make sure you’re delivering value to your list members is to ask them what they value.  Use a feedback survey to get those answers.

Guessing just doesn't work.

Is gold valuable? Not to someone who is drowning. I think they'd much prefer a life vest.

Is a glass of water valuable? It certainly is if you're stranded in a desert. The guy in the example above, though.. probably would pass.

You Could be Labeled a Spammer!

I use McAfee security software and so far I've been pretty happy with it. 

McAfee, however, has a tool called 'Site Advisor' which places a green checkmark or red X next to sites listed on the search engines. If you've use McAfee you probably know what I mean. These checks or X's denote whether a site is safe or is a potential security threat to you.
