I've been an affiliate marketer throughout most of my online career and I've done pretty well at it, but that's not been the case for a lot of people. In fact many have failed so miserably at it that they have thrown in the towel and flat out given up.
Affiliate marketing isn't hard; in fact the hardest part is often just knowing where to start. For example, people sometimes make the mistake of building a website first without having given enough thought to finding a profitable niche, or they might have a profitable niche but don’t know how to effectively promote it.
Whatever it is that keeps folks from being profitable, affiliate marketing, like any other business model, requires starting with a profitable idea and understanding how to implement the strategies that make the most money.
But for many people it's even more basic than that. They simply just don’t know where to start. They sign up for newsletters, listen to multiple experts or worse yet, they take a shot in the dark and worry about where they land later.
That’s a tough way to do anything
With this in mind, about 6 months ago I joined Jimmy D. Brown's Affiliatenaire. This is Jimmy’s 52 week, step-by-step affiliate training program. I mainly joined just to see how effective it might be for helping people get started with affiliate marketing. I've been a fan of Jimmy's since he began teaching and mentoring online so I already knew his course materials were quality rated but I wanted to get a first hand glimpse of what he was really offering with this training and if it really had the potential to help newbie affiliate marketers or people that were struggling to make any real money.
Each week I get a meaty lesson that got to the point of what you need to do for that week and it’s also followed with a weekly assignment. I didn't always do the assignments as I've already done many of them with my own affiliate sites but the assignments were a perfect follow up for each lesson and they're exactly what you need to get an affiliate marketing business up and profitable. What's more is I found the information wasn’t overwhelming; it was easy to absorb and apply what was learned.
Jimmy gets you thinking with his very first lesson. He starts with giving you the foundation for how to find an affiliate niche, how to make money, what setup is required and how to promote each lesson of the program – and he outlines everything you need to implement the steps.
As I move into my 38th week of Jimmy’s Affiliatenaire course I can completely see how it’s designed for helping anyone getting started in affiliate marketing know precisely where to start and what the next logical step is.
Even though I participated in the course as more of an evaluation I've learned some new tricks myself. Jimmy’s a pretty creative thinker and he has plenty of strategies up his sleeve that he shares with his students. I've used several of his ideas myself while scratching my head wondering why I didn't think of them.
If you enjoy affiliate marketing but need a way to boost your affiliate income or if you're just getting started, here's what I recommend:
1. Get off the all the affiliate marketers email lists. Select no more than 3, preferably 1 affiliate marketing mentor to get advice from. Listening to too many experts will confuse and disrupt your train of thought.
2. Understand the action steps and apply them one at a time. Don't be so anxious to make money that you experience the pitfalls that will destroy your chances of making the most money or worse yet, misapply the strategies that offer the most benefit.
3. Don’t give up until the project becomes profitable. Too many affiliate marketers give up because they don’t see immediate results and they move onto something else. This almost always leads to frustration and failure. Stick it out until it's profitable.
Affiliate marketing is by no means a get rich quick method of making money online and it's going to be up to you to commit to putting the time and effort into following any kind of step-by-step training, but if investing in your financial future by learning affiliate marketing is a priority, Affiliatenaire is a wise investment.
To quote Jimmy: "If you stick with this and follow the instructions – you won’t fail!"
