I've just been reading Andy Jenkins' post on the Affiliate Marketing Cheat Sheet'
The timing is perfect on this because it backs up my post from last time on making money with affiliate marketing.
Andy's Cheat Sheet offers some excellent advice about creating loyal customers that buy, but it also stresses what I said about not promoting junk and how critical that is to your affiliate promotion strategy. Andy starts out by saying 'Buy and Use the Product' and he lists out how to evaluate products.
This is extremely valuable information for being successful at affiliate marketing. These are not only the things that will help you make the most sales; they build trust among your viewers. But also, if you can do the product evaluation 'leg work' for your readers they save time and effort, who doesn't want that?
However, in my opinion owning a product yourself gives you an edge for promoting it. You're in a much better position to demonstrate to your viewers the quality and benefits of a product because you can really feel it first hand.
A comment posted by Igor on Andy's post said it very well:
"I can relate to what you are saying,
because as an affiliate internet marketer,
I do feel proud and more confident whenever
I promote something I have personally used."

It is not easy to trust some products online. Especially those in clickbank – I find that most of them do not deliver.
