If you've got a blog, perfect, it's a great way to establish your online presence. Blogs however, just as with any website, need traffic. There are tons of ways to get traffic to your blog but here are 6 practical yet sound blog traffic tips that are easy to do and aren't complicated, in fact they are quite easy.
1. Design your blog around a single topic.
Most people searching for information on the internet are looking for specifics. Within your blog's topic also choose relevant, popular categories. The more focused your topic and relevant your categories the more effective your blog will be for giving your viewer what they are looking for.
2. Add content often and in a consistent manner.
This does not mean you must post to your blog every day, however you should try to post at least three times a week. Once you establish a posting schedule, be consistent. Frequent, consistent postings condition the search engines to expect content from you. This means they will consider you a good source of information and visit your blog often.
3. Submit to blog directories.
Get your blog submitted to as many blog directories as possible. Here are some sources to get your started:

4. Submit your blog to the RSS feed submission sites.
RSS subscribers can bring you a ton of traffic. Submitting your blog to these feed submission sites is an excellent way to create one way links to your blog.
5. Post your articles or product reviews on Book marking Sites
I don't recommend doing this manually. Try using onlywire.com. They will submit your posts or articles to other book marking sites like backflip, del.icio.us, blinklist, furl, etc.
6. Comment on other blogs often
Commenting on blogs is a great way to get additional exposure and one-way links. Comment should, however, be informative and genuine, typing meaningless comments that say, "love your blog", or "great post" will often get deleted by blogmasters. Useful informative comments are the ones that will get posted and also encourage readers to click through to your blog.
I like to use Comment Kahuna, it’s a free tool that will help you find blogs based on keywords that you enter. It will also find blogs that don't use the nofollow tag meaning the search engines will follow your link.

I don’t think anyone of us can do without a blog, It:
1.provides fresh content – search engines just love that and highly relevant pages from which to link into the main pages of your website.
2.keeps you in touch with your topic, not just the SEO part of it.
3. It lets you trade contents not just links with other bloggers.
4.opens doors to real-people networking on the Internet, and good for link-building, blogrolls exchange and other forms of joint ventures.

Very good blog – with some very good practical tips. Thank you.
Nice tips. Thank you.
Adding infographics, and multimedia content can help get links and traffic too.
Hi Liz, great info you’ve shared here. I can certainly use everything! One can never have enough ways to drive traffic, but on the other hand you can’t do it all at once. I’ve been applying a couple of methods that are working well, but now I need to do something else.
Your post couldn’t have come at a better time!
Thanks.

Hey Michael, It’s good to try new things, but if something is working you should stick with it, however adding new things to your repertoire, so to speak, can be a good thing, as long as they are working for you
