Make Money with Resale Rights and PLR

Private label rights and resale rights are really hot right now; actually they have been for awhile, that's because they continue to be an effective yet easy way to make money online.

What makes them so great is that you have the rights to the sell the products yourself and keep all the money.  It's one of the best forms of passive income there is.

I've been doing affiliate marketing for years and I love the business model but resale rights takes it a step further. Both with resale rights and affiliate marketing you are promoting a product developed by someone else, but instead of earning only a portion of the sale as with affiliate marketing, resale rights lets you to keep 100% of the purchase price.

What makes resale rights and PLR so attractive is that you are in control.  For example, you control the sales process which means you can add additional offers, build a mailing list, follow up with your buyers, include affiliate products, add backend sales or whatever strategy you want to include.  The best part of this is that you are in control of a system that continuously earns you money.

But what most people appreciate the most, myself included, is that you don't have to create a  product yourself.  Information products sell very well online but creating an information product is a lot of work and takes time.

Besides if you're not a writer it can be, well let's just say, "A big pain in the neck".

If you're anxious to get some money under your belt and you want to start with something fairly easy, I strongly recommend resale rights, but before getting started here's some basic information that will help:

Not all resale rights are the same

There are basically four categories of resell rights and there are a few subtle differences that you should be aware of before using them.

Also, when searching for resale rights products, pay close attention to the instructions provided for each.  Below I've listed the main differences for each category but there may be additional instructions that vary from product to product.

Resale Rights (RR)
Basic resale rights mean you can turn around and resell the product to someone else for a
suggested price.

Some products come with resale rights automatically and it's included in the price of the product, others might charge an additional fee for the resale rights.  Either way, when you purchase a resale rights package it comes with a sales page for promoting it and an order page.

A good program will also come with instructions on how to set it up on your website or on a new domain; however the person you sell it to cannot turn around and sell it themselves.

Master Resale Rights (MRR)
Master resale rights are basically the same as resale rights (RR) except that you are also selling the "rights" to the package.

This means that whoever buys the package
has the right to turn around and resell it
themselves.

Private Label Rights (PLR)
With Resale rights and master resale rights packages you cannot change or alter the content in any way and there are generally some restrictions on giving the packages away free and on pricing.

However with private label rights you have a lot more flexibility.  You can change the content, add to it or edit the content for creating articles, creating e-books or reports and adding content to your website or blog.

You often see PLR packages sold in the form of article packs, but there are ebooks and guides as well.

Usually with private label content there are a limited number sold, this maintains the integrity of the content for those that use it right out of the box, however private label rights are much better utilized by customizing the content, especially if you will be adding your own name to it.

Public Domain Content
Public domain content is content whereby the copyright has expired.  This would be any work published more than 95 years ago or published before 1964 that hasn't had the copyright renewed.

With public domain content you can edit it or change it and publish it as your own or create a whole new product that you can sell. However, in some cases proper attribution to the author or source of a work, even if it is in the public domain, is still required.

How to make money with PLR and Resale Rights

Getting in on resale rights and using public domain is an excellent way to get started online or add to your current income.  This is not theory or promotional fluff; it's a very real way to earn some nice cash on a recurring basis.

If you'd like more information, Liz Tomey and John Hostler have developed some of the best free videos, guides and strategies that I've seen so far.  I particularly like the videos because they are much more helpful than just text guides.
