Your Web site Content
* Keep The momentum going!
* Submit a Press Release for Your
Business!
This past week I've had a few house guests and I haven't put as
much time into my business as I usually do, actually that's
kind of a good thing, it's nice to take a break every so
often. Will that impact my online sales? If I
don't keep up a few practices each and every day my sales could
suffer. Here's how to keep the momentum going without
working long hours each day.
When I work online all day I do lots of different
things. My day is divided into adding new content,
research and writing my newsletter, adjusting ad
campaigns, make blog comments, research new ideas, checking my
email, evaluating and critiquing new products. Now,
of course I can't do all of those things every day but there
are a few things I must do every day.
What are those things? The things that help me get
more traffic and sales. So, when I have house guests or things
that take my attention away from work there are still those
things that I must make sure I get done each day.
Adding web site content and keeping touch with readers
through email are those very things. Even if it's just
adding a few comments to my blogs, those are the things I make
sure I get done. Adding a little content each
day usually only takes about 15 to 20 minutes to do.
No matter what's going on I can usually squeeze that in.
One thing you'll notice about your blog or your website is the
more content you add the more the search engines will notice
you, particularly with your blog. The search engines like
consistency. If they see you are a good source for new content
your chances of better placement increase. If you begin
to let your site or blog lag in content, so will your site
recognition.
It doesn't matter how experienced you are at sales, you
can never just sit back and let it ride. and the
internet is no different.
What also helps me through the course of my
week is to create a marketing calendar. It never really
works for me to just put what I'm going to do for the upcoming
week in the back of my mind. I have to make a calendar or a
plan, if I don't, it doesn't get done.
I urge you to every Monday morning or Sunday evening sit
down and make a calendar for the upcoming week on what tasks
you need to perform, and more importantly, FOLLOW IT. Also
schedule out how many ours you need for each task. If you
miss doing something, rework the schedule, but make sure you
plan and then follow the plan. Make it a habit.

Press
Releases -----------------------------------------------------
I'm not a press release expert but I do submit press
releases for my sites and I try to do it as often as I can.
Press releases are not hard to write but you do have to come
up with some creative thought and really think about what your
site offers and what you bring to the table as far as benefits,
features and innovation.
I find that most people say "I don't really have anything
unique or unusual, it's hard to make my site sound
newsworthy". But I'm here to tell you that that's simply
not true. If you follow guidelines set up by many of the press
release sites and give it some creative thought, you can create
a press release that works. It's some of the best PR for
your business.
If you're completely stumped about how to do this, Alice
Seba is a press release expert and wrote them for her
job. She's since put out an excellent publication called
the Press Release Profits Course for
creating a press release that gets noticed. Alice has
tips on how to make your words flow easily so they get read,
there are resources on starting a media list so that you can
target your audience better, how to use your website for more
media exposure and much more.
To get you started, below I've included a few press release
sites that are FREE. Many of them require sign up which is
quick, several of them also include information on how to write
an effective press release as well.
